Omila is a senior Occupational Therapist with over 39 years experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.
Omila has gained a plethora of experience via her employment in the public sector. She has been involved in developing practice guidelines with the department of housing / dual disability with ADHC, NDIS, vocational services and other community initiatives. With over 30 years experience within the mental health field, Omila brings a warm and empathic counselling style to assist clients improve their mental health and everyday functioning.
Omila has been in management for the past 15 years and subscribes passionately to the philosophy of evidence based practice and guidelines to support clinical practice. She is passionate about mentoring and developing Occupational Therapist new graduates into seasoned professionals, and currently she provides regular supervision to Mindwise OTs. Omila enjoys developing and further enhancing the provision of Occupational Therapy services at Mindwise.
In her spare time, Omila is an ecoprint artist and loves to create unique, natural, chemical-free textiles and fabrics that are eco-friendly.
